Orthus Health is seeking a meticulous and experienced Data Architect to join our team. Your central responsibility as the Data Architect will be to develop, optimize and oversee our company’s conceptual and logical data systems. Your duties may include preparing architect reports, monitoring the system, and supervising system migrations. To succeed in this role, you should know how to examine new data system requirements and implement migration models. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience in data analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Our data team builds, augments, and maintains the infrastructure that empowers teams across Orthus Health and our customers to make sense of and tell stories with their data. We are looking for motivated individuals to help build and maintain our data warehouse.


  • Provide insight into the changing database storage and utilization requirements for the company and offer suggestions for solutions

  • Analyze database implementation methods to make sure they are in line with company policies and any external regulations that may apply

  • Create data monitoring models for each product and work with our marketing team to create models ahead of new releases

  • Develop database design and architecture documentation for the management and executive teams

  • Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.

  • Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming.

  • Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features.

  • Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.

  • Educate staff members through training and individual support.

  • Building out and maintaining a data warehouse through modeling and schema design


  • Experience with Healthcare data structures (EHR/EMR or claims)

  • Proven fluency in SQL and a development language such as Python

  • Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining

  • Proven fluency in SQL and a development language such as Python

  • Must be able to develop creative solutions to problems

  • Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and Data Warehousing design, tooling, and support (we use Matillion and Snowflake)

  • Understanding of different data formatting (JSON, CSV, XML) and data storage techniques (3NF, EAV Model, Star Schema, Data Lake)

  • Good written and verbal communication skills


Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field required (Master’s degree preferred)


2+ years’ experience in a data analysis or management role
