ACCOUNT MANAGER

FULL-TIME | RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA

SUMMARY

The Account Manager is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and administering Orthus Health wellness programs for assigned clients.  Candidate is further expected to align wellness programs with the client’s strategic objectives, effectively capture and communicate program progress, and regularly review client success with the Orthus Health leadership team.  

 

The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively. The candidate must also be capable of solving complex issues that require quick, independent decision making and the development of innovative solutions. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, meticulous organizational ability and a strong benefits and business acumen are essential qualities for the position.

 

A minimum of three years project management and/or client service experience (preferably leading wellness programs) is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manage deployment of comprehensive health and wellness programs, including creation of detailed and accurate project descriptions, estimates, functional and technical specifications, schedules, timelines, and written status reports throughout the program lifecycle

  • Lead the implementation of client wellness initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery of Orthus Health solutions according to client needs and objectives

  • Coordinate the involvement of multidisciplinary project teams, including support, service, development, and management resources, in order to meet performance objectives and client expectations

  • Meet regularly with clients and internal team members to evaluate the status and progress of the client wellness program – travel as necessary to client worksites.

  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key client personnel

  • Serve as an expert on all operational aspects of the Orthus Health platform, making actionable and insightful recommendations for wellness programs based on client data

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while always seeking continuous improvement in processes, procedures, and outcomes

  • Develop content for employee communication material for clients to use in the promotion of wellness initiatives

  • Assist clients in the development of marketing/communication strategies to promote, manage, and maintain wellness programs

  • Investigate, track, and resolve client concerns

  • Identify trends and implement solutions

  • Perform duties subject to the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and Orthus Health’s HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent required

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in health and wellness program development and program account management, consulting, and/or project management experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of human resource benefits and/or private medical insurance management experience is a plus

  • Project management certification is a plus. Ability to produce and maintain detailed Microsoft project plans is a must

  • Strong cross-functional skills and ability to collaborate

  • Ability to work with multiple organizational representatives, including client executives and managers, their employees, subcontracting organizations, partners, providers, consultants, and contractors

  • Strong technical skills, technical savvy and conversant. Able to bridge between internal teams and clients across business and technical realms

  • Must be able to work under pressure with composure, meet deadlines and plan, organize and effectively present ideas and concepts to client and Orthus Health resources

  • Must be capable of thinking strategically by gathering and assimilating information from a variety of sources and recommending courses of action

  • Possess a high degree of flexibility and adaptability; excited by a rapidly changing and growing environment

  • Superior verbal skills with experience making presentations to a variety of clients, including senior and executive levels

  • Superior writing skills and experience with client correspondence, reports, proposals, and engagement documents

  • Self-starter personality with the ability to work independently

  • Work an extended schedule according to the demands of the role and tasks

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Health Benefits background with solid understanding of benefits design

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to reason through data and make decisions in accordance with Orthus Health policy

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

  • Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving skills

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent degree required

  • Masters of Public Health and Health Promotion is a plus

  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) is a plus
